OK, about a month or so ago, we took the rail to Steven's house for major surgery - getting a motor installed! Steven spend the best part of an afternoon getting the 1641 that he sold me ready to go. It's still a pretty fresh motor, only had a few trips to Pismo on it. I had to buy some small items, like a remote filter housing, coil, cap, wires, rotor, new air cleaner, and the big one was exhaust. We also used some parts that I had in order to complete the motor - a starter, an aluminum remote-cooler style doghouse, intake and Weber progressive carb.

We buttoned up the motor with a Kennedy 1700 lb pressure plate and a metallic racing clutch. The slave cylinder that came with the rail was still good, so that was a plus. One crappy thing was that I bought a heavy duty throw-out bearing arm at someones recommendation, then was not able to get it in. Oh well. If anyone can tell me how to defy the lays of physics to get the old one out, I'd sure appreciate it.

I'll probably put up some more detailed pics of the motor and stuff eventually. Of maybe not. If you have any specific requests, let me know.
